On Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 Blue Door and Mosaic Interfaith Out of the Cold teamed up to virtually hold Richmond Hill’s Coldest Night of the Year walkathon to raise funds to provide life-saving services for youth, men, women, and families experiencing homelessness.

We are thrilled to announce that over 600 walkers, 100 teams, and 20 sponsors including lead sponsor Kylemore and supporting sponsor LiUNA Local 506 Training Centre rallied together to raise over $162,000 to save the lives of our community’s most vulnerable people. Nearly DOUBLE our original goal.

During such a challenging and difficult time, it is so inspiring to see this community come together (at a distance) to provide support and services for people experiencing homelessness.

Funding from this event will go to directly support our most vulnerable in emergency housing and to find, secure, and sustain safe housing in our community.

Donations are still being accepted up until March 31, 2021. Donations can be made online at cnoy.org/location/richmondhill

Inspired by an upcoming merger, the collaboration between Blue Door and Mosaic Interfaith Out of the Cold was needless to say an overwhelming success and foreshadows the exciting work to come!

Walkers and community members are encouraged to stay in touch with Blue Door and Mosaic Interfaith Out of the Cold by following us on social media and subscribing to Blue Door’s email list!

Save the Date for next year’s Coldest Night of the Year – Richmond Hill walk Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022.
